Welcome to the CBT Register for the United Kingdom.
Here you can find details of all officially accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.
All the practitioners listed here are accredited members of the lead organisation for CBT in the UK, the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) or of the Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT).
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that deals with a person’s thoughts, feelings, and how they behave.
CBT is an evidence-based psychotherapy recommended for the treatment of depression and anxiety and a whole range of mental health conditions.
Find out More about CBT.
Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) was originated by Dr Albert Ellis in the 1950's and was the fore runner of what we recognise today as CBT. It has some features which are distinct from other cognitive and behavioural therapies and is acknowledged as an effective treatment for the anxiety disorders, depression and other emotional problems which prevent people enjoying their lives in the way they want to.
